new music format? NO!

and this yet again shows how mind-bogglingly stupid the record industry is. so apparently the answer to music downloading and pirating is making smaller CDs w/ less music and a few phone ringtones. hmmm… in case the RIAA hasn’t paid attention, what people want is cheaper music, not yet another physical format – MP3 players have already won the battle as the new medium by which to transport music. IT’S OVER!! THE BATTLE HAS BEEN WON BETWEEN CD PLAYERS AND MP3 PLAYERS! there are now only 2 remaining record stores in central austin, a thriving music town which once housed over 15 music stores in central austin alone! tower records on the drag just closed its doors last wk due to sagging sales. i don’t want a new 3″ cd that won’t work in my car cd player!
